Hypertension is also known as a high blood pressure and other name is “silent killer” because it rarely shows symptoms until it has been caused to the body.
According to WHO there are over 1.2 billion people globally suffering from Hypertension disease.
What is Hypertension
Hypertension occurs when the force of the blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. Blood pressure measured in two numbers.
- Systolic pressure:- the pressure of blood when heart beat ( upper numbers)
- Diastolic pressure:- the blood pressure when the heart rests between beats ( lower numbers)
Normal blood pressure is about 120/80mmHg. Blood pressure above 140/90 mmHgis considered in high blood pressure
Cause of hypertension
- Lifetimestyles choice:- blood pressure causes lack of exercise, smoking, alcohol consumption and unhealthy eating meals.with high salt.
- Genetics:- Hypertension can be Genetics can increase the risk
- Chronic condition:- in Hypertension diabetes, obesity and kidney problems an also contributed
